About the Farmers

Bland Family Farm is a family owned and operated farm in Illinois. My wife Marcella and I started the farm in 2016 with one simple goal: to make quality, healthy products for our family and our local community. From produce, to eggs, to chicken, to beef, our mission was to grow our food as nature intended; naturally.

We are proud to share our passion both for the farm and for sustainable agricultural practices with our kids and we started out just growing food for our family before we decided to share our extra produce at the local farmers market in 2017.

Today, we are excited to continue to serve and bring the highest quality and nutrient dense foods from our farm to our community and we would love to share our food with you.

Explore Our Offerings

We live and grow by a simple philosophy: Serve nature and all is well. No hormones. No antibiotics. No unnatural inputs. Our cows are grass-fed and grass-finished. Yes this process takes longer to “finish” out the cow, but the nutrients and taste of the meat is superior. Our chickens roam free, allowing them to engage in natural foraging behaviors. That gives us the benefit of an egg with a deeper darker yolk rich with vitamins and nutrients. Our garden vegetables are grown without chemicals. We mulch to suppress weeds and use natural practices to improve soil quality. The health of the soil is the foundation for our farm’s success.
